My father once thought I was getting into too much trouble, when all he would hear from was other people. He wouldn’t want me to do anything, couldn’t leave the house, wouldn’t get any money when I asked and this was after the fact of being sent to Utah to live with my mom. Not having any trust with your parents probably isn’t wise.
It all began last year, my beginning year of my freshman year. I had played football for Thousand Oaks high, got good grades from the range of B to A. I was never the kid that got carried away with dumb things that would get me in far troubles. I made bad choices for sure but never did I get carried away. I think before actions and decided whether I should take charge or not, If it would be worth it, for fun, or thinking about the consequences if I were to of gotten caught.
A marvelous day arrived, my birthday. After going to Venice for the day I’d dropped my friend off at his house. Good day, things went well. I wake up next day and my dad had gotten a phone call from m
Where i set my goals..
y friends mom. Sharing what had happen during Venice, which was half false information so my so called friend would get out of trouble. I take blame for what I did but my dad lost respect for me, didn’t trust me, all the worst you can think of.
After all, when hell was sustain, I got sent to live with my mom. The time was agreed for a month. Brought a couple t-shirts, couple pairs of jeans, very little is what I had of my own belongings. Month goes by and my dad ridiculously decides I shouldn’t come back and I should start school in Utah! Where all Mormons judge and snow up to five feet in the winter. From California to something I had never experienced. I wondered when I was there, why? How come? But I never asked myself would it greater benefit you. And yes indeed. My dad had chose the wrong way to teach or show me that, which was at his fault. I ended up earning my way back to Cali by amazing grades, my mom would give complements and Id try to stay away from trouble but as a kid that never works out to well.
All in all, my dad heard what he heard and thought of what was best for me. Even though, in the most outrageous ways I still found things that benefited me and only me. I hold my guard today and know a lot more then what people really think, making me the person I am today.
If I were to choose, most to blame of the murder of Larry king, I’d have to probably go with society and parents. Brandon growing up didn’t learn what most average kids learn, along with Larry. Especially with no support or influence from his parents. The school staff is in the position to keep kids safe. I see a kid who’s white power or gay walking around clueless. The principal probably protected Larry too much where it got out of control in Larry’s point of view. And as a staff member, safety comes first. Did the principal think clearly to what other kids think? We all know clearly that Larry was picked on. So why encourage it? Larry and Brandon were both in the right or wrong. If Larry didn’t sexually assault Brandon, Brandon wouldn’t of had the anger to kill Larry, as a kid. Because he was gay wasn’t why Brandon killed him, its cause Larry took it to far. Any other kid or guy that would have been sexually harassed would have been embarrassed just as much as Brandon . Deeply down I think parent take big responsibility over their kids. When Brandon grew up he didn’t know any better learning from a mom who takes meth, or a dad who shoots at Brandon’s mom, who dies from being too drunk. What is Brandon left with to talk too. He’s friends and when he was asked to be Larry’s valentine, His friends weren’t there for him. Making fun of Brandon. The way he was raised allowed his way of thinking to build up so much anger, shooting Larry was the way of expressing. All in all, Brandon, Larry, Parents, Society, and even the school staff could have all done something different to help prevent the tragic incident. His parents I hold against the most because they obviously didn’t show Brandon responsibility, so justice should but as a juvenile sentence.

At E.O Green Elementary School, the 8th grade murder gets people thinking. Should Brandon the killer of Larry king, be trialed as an adult or a juvenile? At the age of fourteen, I say it was a kid mistake that could be learned from.
Larry acting the way he did to Brandon clearly explains why Brandon was mad. Because he was fourteen, an 8th grader who isn’t mature and losing his temper. Kids learn from mistakes so I think he deserves a second chance. A Juvenile, that can get out at twenty-five and realize responsible and reality.
If this was Brandon’s first major mistake then I think sitting in a cell for twenty-five years would rehabilitate his actions. Either way he didn’t care what consequences he would have faced, just like a kid who takes his parents car out, without permission. Brandon can easily learn from his past and move on. If the courts don’t think he’ll change after twenty-five years why not hold a trail before he gets out?
In my opinion justice for Larry and his family would probably be Brandon getting adult committed murder and sentence fifty year to life. But they need to look at all point of views. Brandon is someone who grew up with no communication. A kid who is under eighteen shouldn’t be trialed as an adult when their clearly not. Brandon should have a second chance and learn from he’s mistake.
All in all, mistakes as a kid are easy to progress on. Brandon knows what he did wrong but still committed the murder because as a kid they don’t think things through very clearly. So justice is what needs to be fair of all perspectives. Being a kid at the age of fourteen, not being fully matured should leave the case to a juvenile.
In the passage by Susan Sontag, the argument between text and images reveals how one never understands anything from a photograph. That people are becoming image-junkies and her concerns about it. I think both text and photos , limit the understanding of the world.
Susan states how a image always hides more then it discloses. Because it’s an image you can only imagine what you see, or pretending how it is. It doesn’t leave you with the truth but an accurate understanding. I believe how industrial societies turn their citizens into image-junkies but that’s because people or kids are clueless when it comes to thinking outside the box.
I don’t think photography implies how we know the world or not accepting the world as it looks but an example of showing expression to the world. Based off an image it puts peoples state of minds close to actual reality, but concisely they’re no were near to the fullest affect it could have been. A photo makes us use our imagination the same way text does, from a text you get a truthful descriptive that’s useable. Allowing yourself to guess what it’s like till there’s a photo or an example of actual reality. Text to understand but an image to fully understand
In my opinion being able to get the fullest knowledge, text and photos need to be acquainted… For example “Child Labors” by Lewis Hines, photos were released of young kids working in factories or farms. People understood what was happening based of uncertainly but they didn’t know the beginning or end of the truth to the photo. You can only take so much truth in a photo unless you have a text for proof. That’s why I think it’s important to have both image and text for the fullest effect.
All in all, Text and images are needed for each other to understand that either or can’t do. You need text for the truth but a photo to see how reality is in the world. When I think of chemicals, I think of the periodic table not love, pain, grief or sadness. Though I do believe that our “reptile brain” desires highly needs for passionate love that science can’t describe to the fullest. Chemicals don’t have everything to do with love.
Chemicals do trigger the brain for an attraction, usually testosterone. A chemical that gives us our sex drive, or even a natural high. A same substance that is in cocaine, dopamine is what our brain releases either on the drug or having an organism. A natural high or “good feeling” our body produces. The last step of chemical responses is oxycytocin, which is produced during long term relationship. A chemical that makes the bond unique or a lot stronger.
Love can’t be something chemically processed. It’s the passion between the couple that either or wanted. Something that is, a strong connection because of love. Marriage is what means the couple are committed for life, for better or for worse. A religious way or even by law to show a permanent love one.
All in all, Science can’t predict the chemicals of love, pain, grief or sadness because there isn’t any. Its mentally progressed by the women and men. There are non-material factors at play that science cannot identify.
Marriage is something so important, people or at least I, wouldn’t marry a girl unless they would have a lot in common that is being attractive as well. Marriage is for something to last long, passionate love. Only occurring when you make the decision, not letting your parents force it up on you.
Parents who arrange marriages, traditionally, often are wise when it comes to a decision of who will marry who. Based on the same background of their daughter or son would help dramatically to find someone in common. Using their intelligence, to fulfill the choosing of marrying. Even though you’re a full grown person and making your own decisions, Parents aren’t or shouldn’t be in the position to tell you who to love or what to do?
Today in America there’s millions of married couples, but yet million of divorces. Is it because we choose our love mate unintentionally? Modern marriage allows us to decide who we want to marry. But some people fall in love with others without intention. Usually those who get divorces obviously made the wrong decision of marriage, learning from their mistakes so the next bride is a keeper.
In my opinion I think there is both advantages and disadvantages in modern and tradition marriage. I wouldn’t want someone else telling me who to love but making the decision of who I want to love. I would feel like a little kid having my parents find someone for me to marry. It is just not my thing.
All in all, Marriage should be decided upon the decision making from you. Finding someone to marry passed of a personality you like, things in common and being attractive too. That’s how I see marriage and always will.
